Dr.Nour Nofal

Dr.Nour NofalDr.Nour Nofal earned her Bachelor of Science, Anatomy and Cellular Biology McGill University, Montreal, Quebec and her Doctor of Medicine University of Montreal, Quebec. She completed her Residency program, Ophthalmology at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec where she was named Chief Resident and won the Resident Cataract Surgical Skills Award in her graduating year. Afterwards, she completed a year-long fellowship specializing in Cornea at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. She specialized in cornea transplants, corneal cross-linking, complex anterior segment and cataract surgeries. Dr Nofal's work has been featured in a variety of publications including journals and books such as Cornea and the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology.

Dr Nofal has a passion for teaching, from her peers in the operating room and clinic to her flight students during her career as a flight instructor in the Cadet Instructor Cadre division of the Royal Canadian Air Force. With the same intent, she was involved on the executive board of the International Federation of Medical Students and the Association of Residents of McGill during her medical training. In the future, she plans to continue to be involved in multiple committees and roles at the hospital level.

During her free time, Dr Nofal is an avid scuba diver, pilates instructor and skiier. Her biggest passion is flying and you'll often find her flying planes on floats as well as gliders across Canada.
